A trip to Sutterton in the heart of South Lincolnshire,  to see the brilliant collection of scarecrows and a trip to St Marys Church. A lovely day out complimented with afternoon tea. How very British.

Visiting the largest market in the Derbyshire Dales. Bakewell stall market occupies two sites and has 162 regular stalls. The stall market dates from the 1920 s. The current day market has a wide variety of clothes, bed linen, shoes, fruit & veg, freshly baked bread, flowers, jewellery, wool, toys and hot food stands, everything for the intrepid shopper. Also, the town has some interesting local shops to explore and not to forget the Original Bakewell Pudding Shop, for a tasty treat. Early afternoon make our way to Peak Village outlet, for some further retail therapy and more breath-taking Derbyshire countryside, return home direct.

Tissington is known as the mother place of well dressing and visitors come from all over the world to witness the annual well dressing ceremony. This takes place on Ascension Day, when large crowds gather to see the wells blessed.

For centuries five wells have been dressed in the village, Yew Tree Well, Hall Well, Hands Well, Coffin Well and Town Well, but in 1982 a sixth well, a Children's Well was introduced.

Tissington may be small but it is internationally famous for the superb well dressings it produces year after year.

Over the border for a trip to the most popular market in Lancashire. It consists of a large market hall, with extensive stalls outside, selling fruit, flowers, clothing, hardware and groceries.

The festival will celebrate the life and works of St Hugh of Lincoln, as well as many other notable visionaries whose ideas and actions have shaped the world we live in and changed our lives.

The incredible displays at the Lincoln Flower Festival 2022 will cover poetry, theatre, film and fashion, alongside history, exploration and invention. Floral creations will range from the Mayflower landing - to the moon landing!

After the successful refurbishment of the theatre, and installation of a lift a glass lift and new seating, the City Varieties Theatre is restored back in time for this Victorian Theatre  Music Hall Show. Once again an afternoon of merriment and joviality, all explained  by yourMaster of Ceremonies, with acts to entertain you from around the globe.
